Free copy of the herm of Athena in archaistic style. Roman marble copy of 1st century AD of a Greek original, found in the rectangular peristyle of the Villa of the Papyri from Herculaneum in the 20th century and now preserved in the National Archaeological Museum of Naples. The goddess wears an Attic helmet with a visor covered with scales, adorned in the center by a gorgoneion with rising sun.
